Math & English
ELA: Our English Language Arts curriculum focuses on the areas of Language, Reading, Literature, Composition and Media. The National Reading Panel (NRP) concluded that there are five components to a successful reading program: Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Comprehension and Vocabulary-Word Meaning. Our curriculum not only aligns with the NRP’s components, but also focuses on the writing process, the structure and use of the English language and beginning reading.
Math: Our math curriculum focuses on the areas of Number Sense and Operations, Patterns, Relations and Algebra, Geometry, Measurement, and Data Analysis, Statistics and Probability. Our curriculum aligns with the frameworks set forth by the National Council of Teacher of Mathematics (NCTM) and the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
